The Time to Transform
The full range of programs offered at The Cocoon Residential is available to non-residents through our Cocoon Outreach program.
Our Cocoon Outreach program supports people of all genders who have housing but still want to join in the fun and be part of our Cocoon community.
We offer everything we have at Cocoon Residential (apart from the accommodation):
- Weekly or fortnightly case management with one of our Housing Coordinators.
- Daily drop-in Mon – Fri for 2 hours per day.
- Access to our life and living skills groups, therapies, community-building activities and education pathways support, peer mentor and more.
The Cocoon Outreach is great for:
- People who’d benefit from The Cocoon’s holistic support programs but don’t need the housing.
- People who’ve transitioned out of The Cocoon Residential but still want support.
- People who might like to move into The Cocoon Residential down the track.
- People who are a little more independent and don’t need support onsite.

Eligibility Criteria
- You are between the ages of 16 – 21.
- You are keen to be in a community setting.
- You want to engage in support and groups.
- You are transitioning from out-of-home care.
- We get no government funding, so everyone we support has to have a Home Stretch package to contribute towards support costs.
Our Housing Coordinators are skilled at supporting people to find and maintain housing.
And we have excellent relationships with community housing and student housing providers, so we may be able to assist in obtaining housing as part of Cocoon Outreach.
But…it is important to know that we don’t guarantee housing as part of our Outreach service.
