Studio Apartment

The Sanctuary – Apartment #1

Studio apartment located in the heart of St Kilda. The apartment is within a heritage listed mansion and is a short walk to the beach and Acland Street. The apartment itself has a living / bedroom area, kitchen and bathroom with a shower. There is a laundry within the apartment. The apartment is on the ground floor and would be appropriate for someone with limited mobility, but is not wheelchair accessible.

The Cost

The accommodation is available for 30% of income, plus commonwealth rental assistance. Bills are charged at $27.50 per week including electricity and water.

Eligibility

Applicants will need to be women, who are over the age of 25 and have a Victorian Housing Register application as well as being an NDIS participant.

Support

Bridge It will provide an average of 3 hours per week of individualised support to the residents in their first year and 2 hours per week of support in subsequent years. This support will be billed through NDIS packages. There will be a mentor who will live onsite who will provide companionship to the residents.

Additional Information

This accommodation is not deemed pet friendly due to there being no outside space, exemptions apply for assistance animals. Leases are offered initially for 12 months may be extended into a long term lease.
